Terms & Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and Kodefirm covering your use of FEND VPN. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

FEND VPN is an Android application that routes your device’s internet traffic through an encrypted tunnel to a server we operate, using AmneziaWG — an obfuscated variant of the WireGuard protocol. It is offered on a free tier and a paid Premium tier, described in sections 4 and 5.

A VPN changes the path your traffic takes and hides its contents from the network you are connected to. It is not anonymity software, it does not make you untraceable, and it does not protect you from malware, phishing, or anything you choose to disclose to the sites you visit.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and old enough to consent to online services in your jurisdiction, to use FEND VPN. You must also be permitted to use VPN software under the laws that apply to you — some countries restrict or prohibit it, and checking that is your responsibility, not ours.

3. Your account

Google Sign-In is the only way to create an account. We never hold a password for you; access to your FEND VPN account therefore depends on the security of your Google account, which is yours to protect. You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account.

You may request deletion of your account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. The free tier

The free tier provides 1 GB of data per day. When you reach the allowance, the tunnel disconnects for the remainder of that day and the allowance resets the following day. Your account is unaffected.

The free tier is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. Where regional rules require it, the app asks for your consent to personalised advertising; declining does not remove your access to the free tier.

We may change the free-tier allowance, the availability of the free tier, or the advertising it carries. Where a change is material and to your disadvantage, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect.

5. Premium subscriptions

Premium costs $1.98 per month and removes the daily data cap, opens all server locations, and removes ads.

  • Billing. Premium is sold and billed exclusively through Google Play Billing. Your purchase is also subject to Google’s Google Play Terms of Service.
  • Renewal. The subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel it.
  • Cancellation. Cancel at any time from your Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; until then Premium continues, and afterwards your account reverts to the free tier. Deleting the app, or deleting your FEND VPN account, does not cancel the subscription.
  • Refunds. Because Google is the seller, refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policy. Any statutory refund or withdrawal rights you have under the law of your country apply in addition to that and are not affected by these terms.
  • Price changes. We may change the price of Premium. Changes do not affect a period you have already paid for, and Google will notify you of a price change affecting an existing subscription in accordance with Google Play’s rules.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use FEND VPN to:

  • break any law that applies to you;
  • attack, probe, scan, or interfere with any network, system, or service — including denial-of-service traffic and unauthorised access attempts;
  • send spam or other bulk unsolicited messages;
  • distribute malware, or host or transmit material that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours;
  • infringe intellectual property or privacy rights belonging to other people;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties, or share a single account across a group of users;
  • circumvent the free-tier allowance, the billing system, or any other technical limit — including by creating multiple accounts for that purpose; or
  • place a load on the network that degrades the service for other users.

We enforce this using the session records described in our Privacy Policy — volume, timing, and assigned tunnel IP. We do not inspect your traffic to enforce these terms, because we do not log it.

7. Availability and performance

We aim to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption, that any particular server will be reachable, or that you will achieve any particular speed. Capacity, the distance to a server, your own connection, and the networks in between all affect performance, and most of those are outside our control. We make no speed or performance claims.

We may add, move, or retire server locations, and may suspend the service for maintenance.

8. Intellectual property

FEND VPN, its name, logo, and the app itself remain the property of Kodefirm and its licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute it except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction, or as permitted by the licences of any open-source components the app includes.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, particularly section 6, or where we are required to by law. Where circumstances reasonably allow, we will tell you why. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

If we terminate a paid account other than for breach, we will refund the unused portion of the period you have paid for, to the extent Google Play’s mechanisms allow.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of your country.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the service, except to the extent the claim arises from our own acts or omissions.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and the current version is always the one published here. Where a change is material we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes arising from them are subject to the courts of Pakistan. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there where the law gives you that right.

15. General

  • If any provision of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
  • Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • You may not assign these terms; we may assign them as part of a transfer of the business, provided your rights are not reduced.
  • These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding the service.
