Your keys stay on your device
Your device generates its own encryption keypair locally. The private key never leaves it — we only ever receive the public half. That is a property of how the app is built, not a promise about how we behave.

The servers that handle your account never see your traffic at all. The VPN server itself keeps only session totals and timings for billing and abuse prevention — never the sites you visit.

FAQ
Questions worth a straight answer
Any VPN adds some overhead — your traffic takes a longer path and gets encrypted along the way. AmneziaWG is built on WireGuard, which is one of the leaner protocols available, and the obfuscation layer adds a small amount on top of that. How much you actually notice depends on your own connection and how far you are from the server, so we would rather you measure it yourself than take a number from us.
